I collect museum postcards, find peace in rainy Kyoto temples, and speak four languages (badly learning the fourth). I also happen to research DeFi protocols and have spent years thinking about network security.

This page could list credentials and achievements. Instead, I'd rather tell you what I find interesting and why I do what I do.
What I Care About
Finding patterns in chaos
Whether it's detecting network attacks or understanding how liquidity flows through DeFi protocols, I'm drawn to making sense of complex systems.
Building things that last
Co-founded EM&AI with people from my hometown Da Nang in 2017 — still running. The best feeling is seeing something we built together become useful to others.
Crossing boundaries
France taught me to think differently. Japanese aesthetics taught me simplicity. Vietnamese roots keep me grounded. The edges are where interesting things happen.

The Path So Far
Engineering in France
Moved to France at 18. Engineer's degree and Master's in Information Systems Security at UTT. Interned at Fusacq (web dev, risk analysis), then UTT (NDN security research).
Brief Return Home
R&D engineer at PowerMore in Da Nang. Built monitoring and anomaly detection systems. A taste of home before diving deeper into research.
PhD + Building
PhD at UTT/INRIA/Montimage on network security — grateful to advisors who shaped my thinking. Meanwhile, co-founded EM&AI with people from my hometown Da Nang — built Vietnamese NLP tools together. Doing two things at once, poorly but enthusiastically.
Defended the Thesis
Content-oriented security for Named Data Networking. Anomaly detection with Bayesian Networks. Published in IEEE journals. Done with formal education.
Back Home + DeFi
Returned to Vietnam after 10 years. Joined Kyber Network as a researcher in 2021, became Research Lead in 2022, built KyberAI in 2023, and took on data ownership in 2025. Stepped back from actively advising EM&AI in 2021, but still watching it grow. Still learning.
Current Focus
Kyber Network
Own the company's data function end-to-end: setting roadmap, designing architecture, and delivering core systems. Work spans data product ownership, analytics & data science, and research & quant support for mechanism design.
EM&AI
Co-founded this Vietnamese AI startup with people from Da Nang. Stepped back from active advising in 2021, but still watching it grow.
